its now like g or pg or something
(that would be e and e12+ for U.S.)

picked up a cd from somewhere had
over 3000 maps for doom/2 on it...
(also stunts, and heretic etc etc)

man i loved dooom...

Doom II was and is definitely one of those games every gamer must play at some point in their lives. I still do every so often.

i love doom i wasted so many days playing it i rembember when the shareware version was released, it was my first game i played online, they started an irish version of dewango a few days after the full game was out, you would just dail in to the bbs which was a server for doom/heretic/hexen the best mod for doom has to be marien doom!

funny thing is that DooM 1 n 2 are more fun on portables now than on PC. I guess it's
because it's so tiny and the ggrphics on D2 looks so much better on a tiny screen

i agree as ive got doom 1,2,ultimate doom,tnt and plutonia all on my gizmondo(fab handheld) and it plays blinding fast with hires mode full screen ect.....ive also got hexen 1,2 heretic 1 and dukenukem 3d as well and they are all great fun.ive also got quake on it as well which is great fun to play..

I remember playing Doom 1 & 2 on my blazing fast 386DX 16\40 with
8mb of ram, Trident video card, 130MB HD and 1X cd/rom. Once again
I had the fastest computer in the neighborhood. And I remember paying
$100 to get a 2X cd/rom when they hit the market :-)
