i bought Doom shareware on 3.5" floppies the day it came out. I didn't realize at the time that I was paying double or triple what it was supposed to cost because I had just played it on the demo PC at the shop and I was stuck in the "Doom trance". People were going crazy for that game.

Doom kicked so much ass. Then before long we got Rise of the Triad and the addiction started all over again!
