You basically fly around, trading commodities, finding missions, shooting down baddies, and upgrading your ship. The graphics are nice, the gameplay is fun, and the ai is challenging. I haven't tried the mutiplayer feature of the beta yet, but you can for instance specify whether human players can kill each other. It would've been awesome if there was one huge static world to play in, but instead there's a host server / join server scheme. While using an Athlon XP 1500 with 128mb ddr and a geforce II ti it plays smooth 27fps in 1024 x 768. and yeah like interman said. Great gameplay as well.
