    hi all hellm8s,
see i have a sony vaio lappy which has intel centrino duo 1.86 ghz 512mb ddr ram 945 mobo and nvdia go 7400 128mb with latest mobile (84.63) drivers.i have hl2, css, the new mod for hl2 ie insurgency also installed and the new moha demo.since last 2-3 weeks im really frustrated and trying to fix this prob.when i installed moha and ran the first time, it ran pretty smooth in med details, 800*600 res.but i hadnt completed the single mission so i thought of giving a sec try some other time.i didnt notice that moha had actually fried up my card.when i ran the second time my fps were much more less than i was getting.i must be getting above 30 fps cuz there was no lag and stutter i observed, but now i was getting not more than 2-3 fps!!i lowered details but nothing happened.then i ran css.i remeba i got 88 fps in med-high details wid full hdr in the stress test and fps hovers around 80 on all maps.but now 14.53 fps!same was in the mod...then i installed ntune v5 cuz i didnt have the gpu monitor.but ntune doesnt work proper cuz i dont have nforce.it doesnt allow me to over or underclock my card, neither it shows any temperature or tune my system.older drivers showed gpu temp but i dont know from where ill get the old drivers.but this has nothing to do with drivers, my card simply overheating.several reboots didnt help....

its a sad story plsss help me making it happier

Ok, let's see what we can do about this. First off, lets not pursue your overheating theory until we have some serious figures on the temperature instead of wild guesses. They lead to nowhere.

Your configuration isn't really up to the challenge to run Moh Airborne in the first place. Your 7400 is about the same or even weaker then the 6600 that's mentioned as minimal configuration for moh and your processor and lack off memory don't exactly make up for the slow videocard aswell. Most likely your software has been up in a jam and not your hardware. First try defragging your system and cleaning your registry and all with this 30 day free trial program Linky

After you did that we will go on to step 2 and dig deeper into the issue of tweaking your system so it might just run moha at a reasonable fps.

thers no need to defrag.im telling u i installed moh in afternoon,i played a lil bit just to get a taste n i must be getting 30 fps(not 60 obviously)then i shut down my lappy and then again ran it on 7.0 pm.i was surprisingly getting not more than 5 fps.same in source games.i dont know if my card is weaker than 6600 or 5200 till now i was happy i got nice fps in wotever i ran im med-high details but i have no idea wot moh has done.it has to something with the fan or the temp

Yup, making half ass assumptions based on zero figures or data is usually how we solve technical issues around here too, that's why we are called hardware gurus. You could of course try and defrag and clean your registry but why bother right? Taking step 1 in a series as I suggested seems worthless when you base your assumption of a overheated card on nothing.

Anyway, since you seem to know what the issue might be I suggest cooling your card then. Best way to do so is by watercooling. Perhaps try and throw it in a pawn near your home and see if the cooling issue is your biggest problem then.

When you are serious about fixing your problem then do the steps I posted, take screenies of them and we'll go onto step 2 which would have been my suggestion to delete the physx driver that Moha installs on your pc as that one is the most likely suspect. Good luck cooling though

Video card configuration issues ahoy! Go to the Nvidia 3D contol panel and:

Set Anti-Aliasing and Anisotropic Filtering to 'Application Controlled'.
Ensure Anti-Aliasing - Transparency is 'Disabled'
Set Mutli-display/mixed-GPU acceleration to 'Single display performance mode'
Set Negative LOD Biad to 'Allow'
    Set VSYNC to 'Disable'

    See if that helps.

I'm with Gazz on this. You come to this forum asking for help. But
when someone steps up to the plate you just brush them off. You
must know more than the rest of us I guess. Try what Gazz suggested
    and I'll help.

Next is a simple procedure ( I assume you also used the program I linked you too?). Go to configurationscreen>software and remove a program called Ageia Physx. Reboot and that should do the trick. Unfortunate possible side affect is that the Medal of honour demo might not work anymore, that demo installed that program in the first place and might need it to run properly (ageia starts to work after a windows reboot, the same time your issues started... 1+1=2)

The Ageia driver responds to several directx and game engine commands and is always activated regardless of needing it or not. I know it sucks, but there are tons of drivers that are active within Windows and I doubt you will need them soon. For example, think of a fax driver, Windows constantly has a background process turned on that looks for printers, usb cards etc which takes resources and the list goes on and on and on....

Anyhow, did you use the program I linked you too? If you want to get help, it might help if you did exactly what we ask of you, That way we exactly know what step to take next without having any risk of a system failure. It's September 15th today and although the error was extremely clear from day one (September 9th) it doesn't seem to have any work done on it.
