Come on people, I want to see some pictures. Where's that Monkey at, and why isn't he showing us some Pic's :-)

I know your an ultimate performance freak Slay, thatś why it amazes me you use AVG en have the graphical interface of vista set to full. Those take away some precious 3dmark points for sure.

    Anyway, my desktop:

For those among us not to familiar with other operating systems, I run Mandriva 2008. The full power pack even I bought for 50 Euros since it has everything and more included already. The free distro can be found at Download | Mandriva

My wallpaper may not be the best looking but itś funny, I also have all the graphical features that Richard has too. No point in making screen shots of that again.

Edit: I also have XP on dualboot for some games.

Looking good Gazz, and I might try out Mandriva, it looks promising.

I also wish to advise Slay to set off all Vista graphical features (especially the mouse cursor shadow, which you can hardly see). I advise the free version of TweakVI for that.

@ Gazz: isn't AVG one of the lightest scanners?

Of course my Radeon HD 4850 can handle it. 1280x1024 FTW!

No, Nod32 is by far the most reliable and light one (combined that is, some are lighter but not as good). It's also the one least likely to give false positives. An error that AVG is infamous for, people just tend to overlook that because it's free.

I turn all the crap off when I'm benching. And I haven't had any problems with AVG, and I've got the Full Paid version.

Ah, the full version is way better. Still no NOD, but way better then the terrible free version. Nevermind then. You also turn off the graphical features?

I really love the Vista look, but it does lose a lot of itś flare when you see it everywhere. Still looks nice and clean there GM.

I recently changed to Gnome in Mandriva so it looks like this now:

    Looks great in my opinion.

No, not too busy. Its just every time I login or navigate to a thread on this bloody forum I get 'Server busy' messages all the time! It puts me off and considering the infrastructure available to GH I find it kind of surprising that this is even an issue.

So I just spend my time at other forums where simple things like reading a thread isn't such a long-winded and frustrating process.
