Recommended computer for Sims 3

So the hardware requirements for Sims 3 were finally released and, lo and behold, my computer meets NONE of them. That might be because I've never updated my computer since I bought it in 2001.... At any rate, I am clearly in the market for a new computer and I would like some recommendations of what company to go with, pricing, etc. I am pretty much retarded when it comes to the inner workings of computers, so building my own is out of the question. Help, anybody?

What I can tell you is that the ATI 4850 Graphics card is a good card your money. Go Intel if you can afford it. What is your budget for this pc?
