Not Happy With NFS: Hot Pursuit

I was really excited when I got the game today for the PS3! Stuck it in the machine and went to career mode straight away. I played for six hours and have been having a lot of fun. Then my cousin called asking if it came yet and I told him that it had. He wanted me to check out the MP part before he got here to see if I had to unlock anything. To my complete disappointment, there was no option for local play! I had to be missing something so, I went and looked online. Guess what? No local play at all!!! Needless to say I am pissssssssed.

What is the point in taking away local play? Not everyone likes to play online against random douche bags.

Before I found out there was no local play, I had every intention on buying it but now, it is going to go back to GF on Monday or maybe Saturday if I beat the SP part quickly enough.

Not only is there no local play, if you rent, like me, you can only play online for two days and then you have to pay for that shitty EA pass.

I wanted this game to be a keeper. Something my family and I could play together like Burnout 3 and 4 and most of the NFS games. Instead, it is going to just be another reminder of why I pay GameFly and not buy games.

Developers and publishers that take local play out of games that should have them need to just get out of the business. I know they are in it for the money but screwing over gamers that have been loyal for 20 years just sucks!

In addition, I have read at an other forum (techpowerup.com) that according to someone who has played both HP 2010 and HP 2, that certain thigs were done better in HP 2. According to him, the "old" game was more fun to play than the new one! http://forums.techpowerup.com/showth...43#post2093943
