It has been posted on Yahoo and Blues news as well. I don't think it is a joke.
Steve Jobs is confirmed dead. He died of complications related to his battle with pancreatic cancer. I saw a photo on TMZ a few weeks ago and he looked really very sick indeed.
Even though I have never purchased an apple product in my life, you have to appreciate what the guy has done to shape the IT and CGI movie industry and make Apple the amazing success it is currently celebrating.

His biggest accomplishment was thinking off the average computeruser as completely unable to understand current operating systems and dumbing them down to infant level with limited hardware to work on it (and I mean this nicely!).
He revolutionised the hardware and software market with products that were overpriced and underpowered, yet were an ideal mix for customers with little understanding of pc's, musicplayers or phones. God rest your soul Steve and I hope you will be tasked with simplifying heaven and that ridicously controversial and complicated book we call the bible.
