Nintendo's E3 Presser

I am posting this now because I will be moving my parents and brothers tomorrow. That means, I will not be here to even see what Project Cafe is.

My predictions: Skyward Sword will come out for the Wii as well as the new console. Mario and Sonic Olympics will suck. Every third party game for the Wii will be crap. That is about it.

As for the new console, I will say that Skyward Sword will be on it as well. GTA? Eh! I think one of my nuts would bust if that was the case. I really hope that they have better games for the new console as the Wii game selection is slimming down more than an anorexic PETA member!

I must say that my suspicions of this console sucking have not been allayed. I have yet to see any real footage of actual gameplay from the console itself. It also seems strange to decide to upgrade the graphics now when we are on the verge of a new generation of consoles. Correct me if I'm wrong, but it seems a little late to join the party. They might have made bigger waves had they waited and matched the next gen visuals with the new controller.

It's not HORRIBLE really, I mean that's what the PS3 came out for initially (albeit $54 more). I do question the hell out of their current ethics though considering Nintendo's battle cry for a while now has been affordable gaming for the family. $654 seems waaaay out of range of most families, not to mention massively contradictory to the fact that the Wii sold like heroin-laced crack compared to the PS3 originally, thanks largely to the price difference.

One gen further than the next (PS5, Xbox 1080 and whatever Nintendo product) a console will cost like a 1000 dollars, mind my words.

The scary (and slightly sad obviously) thing is I can't shake the same feeling out of my head Chev... It's downright disturbing how the original NES cost only $130 ($263 after inflation to today), and here we are twenty years later with consoles coming out at four times that price.
