Two new demos hit today:
NEED FOR SPEED THE RUN
Race for your life in the NEED FOR SPEED™ THE RUN demo. In the Desert Hills of Nevada you find yourself at the heart of the pack. Battle the unforgiving desert heat and technically demanding terrain as you use all your skills to fight your way to the front in the Lamborghini Gallardo LP 550-2 Valentino Balboni. Once past the desert, you face treacherous Independence Pass. The clock is ticking, a mountain is crumbling in front of you and a rival is one step ahead. Refer a friend and race in the new Porsche 911 Carrera S.
I might give this a shot. If it does not have local play though, I won't even rent it!
and
Dance Central 2
Get ready for the sequel to the best-selling dance game for Kinect™ for Xbox 360®! Featuring another killer soundtrack, new simultaneous multiplayer and all-new dance crews, Dance Central™ 2 is sure to get your party started!
I have zero interest in this!!

New demo today:
Sonic Generations
Dash Text: Race through the iconic Green Hill as Classic and Modern Sonics in this Sonic Generations demo. As Classic Sonic tackle a re-imagination of the original Sonic The Hedgehog level. Then grind along rails to escape giant enemies, boost round corkscrews and fly through the air, in a unique level designed to challenge Modern Sonic.
I don't have anything against Sonic, tis just that I think it is time for big daddy demos to be released. Ya know like maybe Skyrim, Saints Row 3, BF3, hell, even a Batman AC would work at this point!

The First Templar and Syndicate Co-op demo is on XBL today.
I kinda like the Templar demo. Nothing special, but seems to be pretty fun. I can't say that about the Syndicate demo though. Mainly because I have not played enough of it yet. The first time I was on a server I was kicked for team killing! I could not tell who was who!! Will be trying again at some point though.

Sniper Elite V2 hit XBL yesterday. Yes, it is a remake, but that should not stop you from playing at least the demo. I played the original when it first came out on the PC. Although, I have to admit, even though I did buy it, I pirated it as well because of the shittasctic DRM it had. I would have played the demo for V2 on the PC, but there is none! Surprise surprise. OK, back on topic. It is really pretty nifty. I played through the demo on the 360 at least 20 times thus far. Well, most of the way through 20 times. Why? If you restart it before you beat the demo, it loads a butt load quicker.
The reason I played (almost) through so many times is because they made it better! Granted, I can't really remember much from the original, but I do remember the close combat part sucked balls! It is much better in the this version. The main reason I keep playing it is the animations when you kill someone. If you make a good shot, it will turn on the x-ray view so that you can see exactly what your bullet does as it passes through the targets body. I have watched it shatter pelvic bones, femur bones, go through the hand and out the back, puncture lungs, take multi parts of the skull out, etc.. Hell, the last couple times I played, I discovered you can blow up the grenades the bad guys carry on their belts! Always a hoot! The best though is when it actually showed their testicles explode! I swear! It goes to the xray view and you can see the balls go bye bye! Made me piss myself.
Sure, that might get old after a while, but I am still playing the demo so I don't see that happening. The only thing that was missing in the short demo was the lack of score and stats. It does give you a score when you kill someone based on how far the target is, where you hit, if they were moving, vital hits, etc.. I was kinda disappointed that you didn't get a score or some stats at the end of the demo. Hope they have that in the retail game.
Probably should mention that there are three different levels of difficulty as well and a custom one. And yes, they do make a huge difference in the gameplay! Not going to go into them now as this is not a preview even though it is starting to sound like one.

Ninja Gaiden 3 and Dragons Dogma both have a demo on XBL. Dragons Dogma is also on the PSN. Been waiting a little bit to give Dragons Dogma a shot as it looks pretty damn good, of course, I have been wrong in the past.
