If they get a good director on it, I think Disney can really do something awesome with the franchise honestly. I was fully expecting Pirates of the Caribbean to suck out loud when it was first coming out, and that ended up being a pretty dang good movie. Now if this were Pre-PotC Disney, I'd be worried as hell. Back then 98% of all their stuff was either animated or CGI and had a much lighter story...

Been playing a good amount of Far Cry 3 this past week and it is really fun, however I can't get rid of this sneaky suspicion that is is a lot like Assassins Creed but with guns. Granted I like FC3 much better than AC3, even though they are basically the same thing.

    Let's compare shall we?
    Open world?
Both have them. Although in FC3 the entire map is open to you from damn near the beginning.

    Stealth?
Both. Even though they both have some sort of stealth it is not implemented very well in either

Climbing a tall structure to open the map?
Both. And the camera rotates to give you a view on both. Although in FC3 the camera will stop to show you things

    Guns?
Both. FC3 does this wayyyyy better! Duh! Using guns in AC3 is just painful

    Vehicles?
Both. Sorta as AC3 has horses

    Hunting?
Both. Again, I like the way it is done in FC3 better.

I could go on, but don't feel like it. Far Cry 3 is definitely the better game though.

You may have noticed that I have not posted much in the past couple weeks. Why? Easy answer games!!!!!

Beat Mark of the Ninja and will be starting new game plus.
Got my Gunzerker to level 50 in BL2 and bought the season pass
Not really sure I like the newest DLC because it is hard as hell! Those witch doctors can burn in fire!!!!!!!!
The Scarlet dlc is probably my favorite. I think it is because running over worms in the skiff fills me with glee
I have played BL2 for 141 hours thus far and I would bet that more than half of that is from helping my brother level up four different characters and helping my nephew.
On the last mission for BL2 in True Vault Hunter mode and then will start again and do all of the missions so I can get the sweet sweet level 50 loot
Ni No Kuni will be here this week and that will most likely take up a lot of my time
It has been rather pleasant outside the past few days so, the bbq has been fired up
If it would stay like this I would be planting grass so my hill/lawn was not brown
One of my wifes friends mother died yesterday while watching her three month old daughter, so the wife has been over there the past 24 hours to help out.
March cant get here soon enough. I want GTA5 dammmmmit
My daughter turns 18 on the 29th. Time to kick her ass out haha
Pretty sure I have a little bit of the flu. Nothing a beer cant fix though

Alrighty, enough chatter! I have things to kill and loot to go find.

I think I've got around 80-ish hours logged into BL2 on Steam currently, with a lvl 40 assassin and 22-23 mechromancer.

I think I love Captain Scarlett... She's evil, but at least she's honest about likely stabbing your ass in the back once she's gotten what she wants... That and she takes one hell of a photo.

I've been making little bits of progress in various single player games, but lately most of my gaming time has been getting monopolized by fighting games. I did manage to beat L.A. Noire, which was one of the games that I didn't get to finish before my old 360 died eight months ago. I enjoy the setting and the game has some cool ideas, but none of them feel like they were executed that well. The interrogation system is particularly janky. I don't regret spending my time playing it, but I might see what kind of pocket change I can get from trading it in as I don't feel compelled to keep it in my collection now that I've beaten it.

Beat BL2 on TVHM on steam! Now I just have to go back and do all the missions with the hope of good loot since all of them will be upped to level 50.

Pssssst, come March-ish (from the sound of it) all your lvl 50 stuff will be obsolete when the level cap is raised.

I'm personally grinding BNK3R for a shock Bitch SMG (for mah growing Mechro) and his heads he drops, with the occasional Warrior kill to try farming a shock Conference Call.

I'd like to see the level raised before March! Been farming the warrior today and cannot get the conference call to save my life. Beat him like 20 times thus far and the sum bitch wont drop one legendary item!! Grrrr! Think I might go beat the bunker and see whats there.

Took a break from BL2 to start playing Ni No Kuni Friday, even though it arrived Wednesday. Mainly because I was still hooked on BL2 and didn't really want to get involved in another game. Begrudgingly, I started playing NNK on Friday and have not stopped since!

There are certain games that have me playing all day and then not sleeping very well because I keep thinking about what to do next in the game and usually they are RPG's. Ni No Kuni is no different and it has kept me entranced like no other RPG since FF9. It really is that damn good.

So, what is it about NNK that makes you want to keep playing and playing? I'd say damn near everything! I will go over a few things here and update the thread later after I am done with it. Whenever that may be.

Let's start with the negatives as so far, there is not many! The PS3 is connected thru an HDMI. When I played the demo, there was no sound. Didn't really think too much of it until I started the game. Same thing on the game though. The PS had sound for everything else, menu, other games, everything except NNK. Tried everything to remedy it. Changed the cables, changed which out put they were on, checked the settings in game, etc.. The only thing that worked was using the vga connectors instead. Welllll, that is not as pretty! I had a choice to make; damn gorgeous game with no sound or still pretty, but not nearly as good with sound. I chose sound. This might not be a problem for everyone, but it is still worth mentioning.
Another neg? Can't really think of one off hand.

Just so you know, I have been playing 40 hours thus far, completed every side quest that has been available to me to this point, as well as done every bounty hunt that has been available, filled up 39 merit cards, have about $150k, been on every continent and island aside for three I believe, grinded for countless hours (didn't need to wanted to), captured about 60 familliars, have five pages in a notebook I use to keep track of things as well as a crude map with the names of continents/islands and things you can find on them, my characters are level 50 or higher, my pets are about the same because I don't change them that often even though I should, and many other things. That should give you an idea of how much I have been playing.

    Things to know about NNK:
    It is freaking beautiful! Seriously!
The music is freaking great as well.
There is a looooooooot of things to do, collect, find, beat up, explore, steal, etc.
Magic is king! I swear, you will use magic more than anything else in the game. Your characters use it as well as your familiars. You neeeeeeed magic and you will run out a lot. Spend your money on a butt ton of coffee products as these refill you mana.
There are spells you can use outside of combat, and you will!
The world is huge and it is open. Although you can't just go anywhere you want for a while
Familiars do most of your fighting and you will want to collect as many as possible as they all do different things.
There are different modes of transportation
Do the damn side quests!!! I can't stress this enough. Not only do they give you money and different rewards, they also give you stamps to go on your merit cards
Merit cards have ten stamps. Fill it up and you go to a new one. Fill up so many and you can trade them in for rewards.
Not only do side quests give you stamps, but bounty hunts do as well. DO THEM!
You may be tempted to go exploring at a certain point in the game, however be warned: The enemies to not have/show levels! You will never know if you will get your ass handed to you until you fight
Eventually, you will get to do some alchemy. It is basically crafting. I really havent dabbled into it very much though.
DO NOT SELL ANYTHING!!!! OK, there are certain things you can sell, but if they have a little thing that says 'ingredient' in their description, keeeeep them! I still recommend that you sell nothing though
Grinding is a good thing sometimes. Do it often. Mainly because you need more mana! Did I mention you will use magic a lot?
You will also most likely want to capture all the little familiar bastards. This means you will grind cause those little sum bitches are not easy to catch!
One last thing for the moment, YOU WILL USE MAGIC A LOT!

Alrighty, that is all I feel like sharing at the moment cause I wanna go play. If you have questions feel free to ask cause I have no idea when I will post more about NNK.
