True, I haven't given Activision a dime of my money since they started shilling out MW after MW after MW every year and are darn proud of it.

Granted I got a $10 Amazon code from my dentist and used it to grab the then on-sale Prototype bundle, but it wasn't my cash.

Have you guys noted new prices for Playstation 3?!
Last of us on PS3 will cost 70 euro! Does Sony try to kill PS3 or it's just a step to prepare gamers for new prices of games on PS4? Anyway it's something i cannot understand. Good that i have my PC.

I think most of it is something in your region is trying like hell to screw gamers over. Here in the US it's listed at $60 for the standard version.

God knows I've read a lot of angry Aussie comments on the Steam forums over how game 'x' costs them like twice as much as what it costs people in a R1 country.

The Sony event will be starting in about four and a half hours. Everyone expects it to be the PS4 announcement. This seems likely as it has been hyped everywhere. If it is a PS4 announcement, what would like to hear about it?

I realize that if they do announce the next gen PS that they most likely will not reveal too much. Here is what I think they will reveal:

The controller
GaiKai
A couple few games and most likely no gameplay

I do not expect a price, when it will be released, anything about the PSN, or if it requires a constant internet connection.

Whilst I am optimistic, there is that voice in the back of my brain that says the event will be basically, uneventful.

After watching the Sony event for two hours I have to say, not all that impressed. Sure, there was a surprise or two like Diablo 3 coming to the system but for the most part it was meh. Seriously, they didn't even show the console!!! What the hell??? When did they become Nintendo and only show the controller? And they really didn't show off the controller that much. It was like 'Here is the new controller. Pretty! We are not going to show you what it does though'.

Even though I was not impressed with the event, still need to know a lot more before I decide to buy it or let it pass me by. Leaning to the pass side because there was wayyyyyy too much talk about sharing, social, etc.. That is not why I play games. Still, there is a lot of time before it is released. Between now and then it could wow me.

I haven't bought a new console since buying my mom a Wii a couple years ago for Christmas, so I'm still fairly 'meh' about them nowadays. Watch Dogs always has my attention though, hopefully Ubi doesn't screw it up and make it just some Assassin's Creed knockoff with a technological background as opposed to the ancient civilization period stuff.

Been reading that the PS4 will not block used games, although devs/pubs can actually do it if they want but the PS4 will not block them. Which means no game from Ubi, Actiblizz, or EA will sell on the PS4 Hahaha. Also, it appears that you do not have to be online to play a game. This rumor was more towards the next Xbox, still good to know. In fact, it is completely customizable! Make it online or offline. Still not sold on the console yet especially after it has been announced that you can't transfer you PSN games to the PS4. Seems kinda sketchy.

I thought the reveal was alright. I won't be able to afford one until well into its life cycle, and I'll most likely end up getting PS3 and running through its library when it gets a price drop before even thinking of moving on to a PS4.

Either way, I just want new consoles so we can break through the graphical stagnation caused by the previous generation lasting so long. That's not to say games that have come out recently don't look good, because there are still some nice looking games for the current systems, but I get annoyed when I see low resolution textures and frequent level loads that are a direct result of a title being designed for a system that's confined to 512MB of memory and streaming data off an optical drive.

I agree Ray. That 8GB's of DDR5 RAM should do wonders to the loading times in the PS4. Assuming a game is not running from a disc.
