I spent 8 hours or better playing BL2 on the 360 yesterday and I really like it, but there are a couple things so far that bug me so I'll get those out of the way. First and foremost; you can't skip the cutscenes!!! I reallllllly loathe it when you can't skip that crap. The other thing is the driving, although it is not near as bad as the first thing. You control the buggy with the analog sticks instead of the triggers. Not a huge fan of that.
The rest of the game thus far has been a hoot though. Big open world, butt loads of guns, skills, guns, vehicles, guns, and lots of places to explore and find loot. One of the biggest likes I have is that is has *gasp* slitscreen!!! And while you are playing splitscreen you can still have other people join you over XBL! The split screen is a huuuuge deal for me and it works exceedingly well. I played til about level 11 or so before my son popped in during a rather difficult mission and it worked like a charm. Of course he started at level one so I had to back track to level him up a bit. He hit level 7 rather quickly too! Now that he is in school, my ass is going back to the game to explore, get more guns, and level up wayyyy past him.

It's rather cruel how you are levelling up whilst your son is at school. Give him a chance to compete!
I bought this game for the PC, hoping to play it on coop with some friends. The first one was a good game and from what I've heard the second on builds on it nicely. Shame about the lack of cutscene skipping however, I hate it when they do that.
BTW is there much difference in the characters you get to choose from?
Oh dear God! True Vault mode is a little rough to say the least. There is a certain boss that just keeps kickin my ass and it suuuuuuuucks not to mention it takes a while just to get to the pecker head. I,ll make another go at it today and see if I fare any better. I doubt it though.
Well after about two straight weeks of BL2, I think I am done. Don't take this as a negative for BL2 as I have a lot of time to play and have played one person to level 38. He went through the entire story, almost every side mission, found a lot of the hidden things for the bad ass ranks, helped my son level up his two characters to level 23 and level 17, upgraded everything eridium could upgrade (except for two things), sniped countless enemies, head shot butt loads of them, went through both tournaments (didn't finish the last round of the last one though), played some of the insaneness that is True Vault Hunter Mode (seriously, shit is rough), and jumped off some crazy places.
I also have another character at level 12 or something, but it got boring doing the same thing over and over.
As much fun as I have had with BL2, there are a few things I didn't really like. The respawn on the enemies kinda sucks. Sometimes it takes a while to finish a mission and you have to go back the way you came and the enemies will come back. I do not like that. I would much prefer the enemies respawn only after you leave the area. Another thing is the vehicles. There are only two!! Seriously? What the hell is that about? Sure there is only one more vehicle type in the game and it flies, but dammit, I wanted to fly!!! That is all the bad stuff I can think of.
Borderlands 2 is a great game and it deserves your attention if you like RPG's or shooters. Even at $60 it is well worth it due to the amount of time you will spend in the game.
I will be sending it back to Gamefly tomorrow because Dishonered comes out next week and I think that will be kinda fun. Not Borderlands 2 fun, but fun nonetheless. Not to mention Resident Evil 6 should be here tomorrow and even though it is getting some rather rough reviews, I will play it because it has split screen just like BL2 and that is the way mp games are supposed to be.
Been playing BL2 again. Mainly due to there is just nothing else out that I really care about. Sure, I have been playing Lego Lord of the Rings, but it is not quite BL2.
The past couple weeks I have played more of the story with my Siren. She is level 26 now. I think. Helped my son level up his dude and finally beat Bloodwing in true vault hunter mode with my level 45 Assassin today. That was rough and it cost me 400k. In case you don't know, when you die in BL2, you loose money and the more you have the more you loose. When I fought Bloodwing today I had 1.1 mil when I was done, only 700k. Luckily it is not hard to get money in the game if you know some tricks. For instance; once you beat the game you can go back and fight the bunker and the warrior, collect the drops and sell them. This is a pretty easy way to get money.
This is what I do: Load a normal game, fight the bunker and sell all the crap or save some for my Siren. Then go fight the warrior, pick up all the crap then save and quit, then continue and fight the warrior again. You can do this as much as you damn well want because when you continue, you start right near a place you can sell things.
There is also a run you can do in the fridge as long as you have done a certain mission. My personal fav is running The Dust as there is at least eight chests containing weapons and such. Done it on normal mode as well as True vault hunter mode. Tis a little harder on TVHm, but the stuff is worth more.
Probably could go into more detail, but tis time to run The Dust again.
Actually the same way with the original game as well, something that's had me cursing like a drunken sailor who cut a hand off occasionally with how much $$$ my soldier has...

Haven't played borderlands, but cut-scenes are there for a reason and if the developer thinks those are crucial then skipping them isn't an option.
