This has really gotten my goat the last couple weeks... There are a lot of people out there (professionals and everyday idiots) that have been moaning about the Seahawks "running up the score" against their opponents in their last two games (Arizona and Buffalo).

Seriously? Last time I checked the NFL didn't stand for "Nancy Football League", and these aren't young children playing for a middle school or something, they're professional athletes. It's their job to stop the opposing team from winning and score points. People see a massive score from a Steelers game against the Lions or something and say "Eh, the Steelers are just that much better." But when it comes to the Seahawks pantsing the Cardinals 58-0 and the Bills 50-17, oooh they're big assholes who are bludgeoning an innocent harp seal.

Yes the fake punt in Sunday's game might be construed as a punk move when you're already up by 30. But if the opposing team can't stop it on a 4th and 5 then there's more along the lines of something wrong with the opponent than the ones who did the fake. It's not like you're forced to punt on a 4th.

If you idiots really think that "running up the score" is a 4 letter word, than I suggest you get any hope you have out of your brains about ever seeing a number of NFL records being broken ever again. Things like "Most Points, Shutout Victory, Game" and whatnot will forever be sitting on the shelf, just out of reach of anyone because breaking it would be seen as "running up the score". And if you do break it, the idiots will make you apologize to the opponent for hurting their feelings.

It's the PROFESSIONAL Football League, stop getting all butthurt just because a West Coast team has started getting its act together and is actually playing well.
