The lovely people at Mechanist Games have graciously let Gamers Hell giveaway some closed beta keys to their upcoming game: City of Steam. Don't know what City of Steam is? No problem! 'City of Steam is set in the world of The New Epoch, a series of pen and paper RPG sourcebooks that illuminate an era of ambition and exploration of the World Machine by both ancient and emerging nation-states. City of Steam focuses on the central City-State of Nexus, a metropolis where players, NPCs, and enemies of all the races and cultures of the World Machine can be found. Each race, culture, and faction is richly detailed through architectural details, NPC interaction, clothing, quest dialogue, and flavorful items like newspapers. Although this giveaway is live as soon as this is posted, I will not post the keys until the guys at Mechanist Games approve the post. Do not let this stop you from requesting a key though as anyone who posts here between the time this is posted and the time I actually post the keys, will be guaranteed a beta key.
1. After getting your Beta key, head to the City of Steam website here: http://www.cityofsteam.com/cityosweb.../gamekey/index
2. Register an account (or sign in if you already have one), copy/paste your Beta Key, click the register/sign-in button, then click on the ‘Play Now’ button and test out City of Steam’s Closed Beta release (or if the test is not yet up, your key will be safely activated and ready for when the game goes live).
3. Enjoy!
The Closed Beta Test will run through Dec. 23-28, starting on Sunday at 17:00 PST (20:00 EST) and lasting until Friday at 00:00 PST (03:00 EST). Keep your key in a safe place if you’ve received one early. Beta starts soon!
