My friend also has problems with his Cd's

My friend has 2 plextor roms and 1 is dvd & cd-burner and 1 is dvd & cd-rom. But the problem is that thay are found in bios but not in windows. Non of them is reading and he can't burn. He is using windows xp pro. He has tried to put in all cables and stuff so please help!!

they are maybe both put on master or slave

maybe you have to check that out

They are not both put on slave or master because they stopped working when he installed the new Ati 4.3 cat drivers :bucky!:

hmm weird stuff.. see if reinstalling the motherboard drivers help
