Hello readers. I’m assuming most of you can guess what this section of the forum is about. I also assume that at least a good portion of you have heard the phrase “everyone’s a critic”. Us in Gamer’s Hell are fortunate enough to tell what we think about games, but we know many of you have very specific opinions about games too. The reviews are usually products of a lot of work, but in this forum the rules are different.
We want you guys and gals to tell us what you think about games, new or old. Obviously, new games are the most interesting to read about, but here we’ll give you a tad of freedom. However, to avoid ten-line reviews that no one cares about, we’ll enforce a few rules.
- All reviews should be AT LEAST one “word page”. We try to keep our “official” reviews at two pages or more, because a review that just covers the surface of the game is worthless.
- Formatting can be done in several ways. Either write one long text with a conclusion and scores (graphics, sounds / music), gameplay, multiplayer (if available), and conclusion), or a text where you have an introduction and sections covering Graphics, Sounds / Music, Gameplay, Multiplayer (if available) and Conclusion. Those who have read a few of our reviews should get a decent idea of what I’m talking about.
- Being somewhat proficient in English helps, but isn’t required to post in this part of the forum. However, TRY to avoid things like !!!!!!!!, J, L, profanity, and things you should know has no place in a review.
- When setting scores it’s important to think about other games in the same genre. What game would you say is a reference (the best racing game for instance), and how does the game you’re reviewing compare?
Hopefully we’ll get to see some very interesting opinions in this part of the forum, and hopefully people will make suggestions and discuss the opinions in the review. I will try to make suggestions like I do with our “official” reviews, but I doubt I’ll have the time to read every single one.
Finally, be aware that those of you who have talent are likely to get recruitment mails from me, hiv or dennis
