    psy ambient huh... I really don't think there is such a thing


    I know of ambient, dark ambient, drone, and minimal....but I don't believe there is a "psy ambient" unless its like psy trance without beats....even still...

    Considering that you like metal mate, I would advise you to listen to the 1.st and the 2nd Album from "Ulver", a masterpiece of black metal with folk-elements.Inspired by those is a band called "Agalloch", they are also very soft and sophisticated in their art.Also check out "Empyrium" from germany and if you are into Tolkien and fantasy maybe you like one of my favourite bands:"Summoning".
    Although it isn´t metal you should consider the french pop-and-ambient band "Air", check out the soundtrack\album "The Virgin Suicides"...

    For decent relaxing music I'd recommend anything by Air or Zero 7.

    On the topic of Air... I'm seeing them live next month, yay me!
