Can we please stop with the HL2 threads

I made this because I'm SICK of seeing every Half-Life 2 related thread going hugely off topic into a debate about the specs of it. Give it a REST, or put it into something more appropriate like kindergarten, because when the subject of HL2 comes up that's the age everyone acts like. I think that unless relevant updates occur, no posts should happen because some people like to come in and just turn it around into how much it will suck/be awesome.

I'm not one to talk, but look back at the past 10-15 HL2 related posts. They all end the same.

P.S.: You aren't going to ever change Sepht's mind, you aren't going to change Kami's mind, you aren't going to change Silent Archer's mind, or my mind for that matter, so, in the words of Jack Black from school of rock "JUST GIVE UP!"

Hell I call HL2 the best shot at GoTY. And the zealots and Fanboys still criticize me because I point out that HL2 won't be perfect.

-Why?
-"Valve and CS r0x0rs" Valve has nothign to do with CS other then the mod team used their game, that was luck,Valve is a developer with a bare track record with 1 good game, and glitch products.(steam, hl1 at realese)
-"HL2 has the best engine ever, physics everywhere, never before seena and invotive thigns and graphics"
-Physics are limited, watch the videos, see how selective the play is in choosing what they play with, phyiscs have been seen before, ragdolls in games since 2002(ut2k3), and vechile physics since Halo in 2001, all the effects have been seen before. PS water, 3dskybox, soft coronas, lighting, vechiles, all have been seen before., u just don't see it because uve been playing only CS for the past 4 years. Also Halo has much nicer/on par textures and effects, it came out in 2001.

gameplay(how do u know it is or is not shallow, u don't, its not out),
AI(what besides valves honost words(*cough release dates) is there to prove it? game leaks point otherdirection in AI),
lies(release dates *cough*,, CSS physics in E3 and CSS physics in CSS test),
release dates*cough*,
audio(ntohign new *cough*),
stablitiy(check the CSS buglists, and also, HL2 is built for and on Steam)
or comparing Hl2 with mdoern games and not with year old games like HL1. (I don't want Improved HL, I want HL for todays era)

Thats usally how it goes.

I like the idea of Sepht as admin. He'd be the R. Lee Ermey (Drill sgt from full metal jacket, host of mail call) of the forums.

I meant it's impossible to change your or anyone elses mind simlpy by telling them otherwise.

I dunno about all that.... But if I become admin, id have to take the responsibilies as admin... and then Id become more calm.... and really nice... it may sound odd... but... Some of you might know what im talking about, most of you have no clue.

Before you post about HL2, make sure it doesn't look like something thatll end up looking like this.
Such meaningless debates are old and useless. Don't say anything unless you can back it up with hard evidence.
Violation of this policy is grounds for suspension from forums.
