Iv'e been having a problem turning on the sim2 , when I try to turn on sim2 ( which I have just installed maybe about 3 hours ago!!) it keep on reading about installing a DirectX 9.0c compatible graphic adapter. so I go to microsoft Direct X and download DirectX 9.0c because before they said any thing about a DirectX 9.0c compatible graphic adapter , told me that I had a DirectX 8.1(c or b ( forgot)) so I thought some thing was worng with my graphicscard so go and check the Name, Manufactuerer, Chiptype
which is:
Name: Intel ® 82810E Graphic Controller
Manufactuerer: Intel corporation
Chipetyp: Intel® 82810

lol im having another problem. when i go to play the sims 2, i can play for about 15 minutes, but then a white box comes up and it says that the 3d effect can not be operated. and then the game shuts off. i need hepl. i do not know what to do

Okay, I followed all of the directions and I am still stuck. I loaded it on my computer at school without any problems. Now I am at my parents' for T'giving and I can't get it to load on their computer. I am having the "failed to find any directx 9.0c...." problem.
They have:
Name: Video 107 Blade 3D PCI/Agp (v6.50.5452.62ICD) card
Manuf: Jaton Corp
Chip Type: Blade 3D
Do I need to buy a new card for them, download something, or just wait 10 days 'till I go back to school to continue playing!
