Linux is (starting up) so much faster, because the GUI doesn't influence the performance so much. Most Linux operating systems look quite well, without "demanding" graphics. Ubuntu for example needs at minimum only 128 MB of RAM!
Also, because there isn't that much malware developed for Linux, you don't need your virus scanner to be "scanning ahead" when you are working with your system. Scanning after downloading a file is enough (but that is more to make sure your Linux pc won't become a "stepping stone" for virusses trying to spread). Gazz, I think I should tell you that you probably mean "bundle". "bunch" is used in case of flowers or so.

I know this is hardly on the topic but I have to get it out of my system
I've used Asus motherboards as long as I can remember but now I'm completely done with their overly bundled expensive shit! Bad experiences case 1: Not so long ago my Striker extreme died upon bios flash and of course contacted support.. 1st they send an email saying that they can't help me please contact retailer...yeah right, isn't it their problem in the end anyway? okay so I explained them that it's not possible due to the fact that I bought it from Newegg via friends "nxs" help. Thanks again by the way can't seem to thank him enough. But yeah that didn't go thru their strict policy either so as a last resort I asked them kindly to send me a new bios chip. "Yes it’s removable and they sell them for people that are too scared to flash their own bios" but got no answer. So for now I have worthless peace of shit hiding in my wardrobe. But mark my word the battle is far from over. I'm on prowl for revenge and there’s nothing that can stop me from having it Oh oh! And did I mention that I had to wiggle my GFX card before the system starts each and every morning? Yeah that’s right!. I build my system several times to get rid of it but no. Now with the new evga mobo I have no such problems. How odd? B) Case 2: My Asus physX card wasn't in that good condition when I took it out of the box I saw one of its transistors fell off... No biggie I soldiered it back on my self and worked flawlessly... The point of all this ranting is simple Asus Blows! They build expensive crap yet cheaply for them selves and when customers get in trouble for their lack of product quality they are left in the wind I know there are many that haven’t had any issues with asus ever… Try Striker and comeback and say you still haven’t had an issue! i dare ya ![]() Whew, I feel allot better now ![]()
