There are more then enough games that run natively on Linux. I could explain everything myself or let you find for yourself. I chose the last option and give you a first link to start exploring.

Looks like these are developed for, or adapted to Linux. I know there are such projects, but what I had in mind were games programmed for Windows. I guess there is still a lot of exploration ahead for me.
