Default In-game browser interest you?

I was reading ign.com and came across this article In Game Browser and was wondering if anyone would use this in their games. It seems like a good idea, and if it works with StarCraft II, I'm all about it. But would the MMO users that it's being geared toward want to use this?

That actually looks pretty cool. I use my laptop for browsing, irc, etc, but that looks like a good alternative

I won't be installing this. Yet another useless future I will be using twice untill I notice the obvious performancedrop ingame. When I game, I do just that and if I really feel the need to browse I either close the game or press the start key (known to some as Windows key) and start it like that.

If a game misses some friend finding function, itś the job off the game creator to make an interesting function for that. I also don't have much interest in getting a new untested unsecure browser on my system. Windows already preinstalled IE as a crappy browser, and getting rid of that and installing Firefox with some sweet add ons was work enough.

Lol, Call of duty 6, now with custom ingame toolbar and spyware from IGN. Makes you wonder what tricks securom and Starforce will do with this brilliant new piece of technology

So I am not the only one who had to cope with adware from them (from Gamespy to be precise). According to MCAfee's virus info database there is no risk in it (i.e. in Gamespy-Arcade), yet the annoying piece of crap shows up again sometimes. While I didn't check any IGN site in ages. Though the MP in Medieval 2 Total War runs with cooperation with Gamespy. If that was part of of the problem, I assume I would get infected every time (something that fortunately doesn't seem to happen). So where I get it from so now and then is unclear to me.
