Well I've gotten SLI to work using the 185.20 Beta Driver and the newest PhysX Driver 9.09.0010
Or at least 3DMark06 and 3DMark Vantage work in SLI.

GeForce ForceWare 185.20 Vista 64-bit download from Guru3D.com
NVIDIA PhysX System driver 9.09.0010 download from Guru3D.com

3DMark 06 - 22781 - ORB - Compare
3DMark Vantage - 24064 - ORB - Compare

A little update about my w7 adventure: it did not run too well in Virtualbox, it "booted" partially and then quited with an error. So it will take a bit more time to get it working, if it keeps failing I will have to google or IXquick a bit about that, or else i could switch to VMware.

@ GM: I have got the 64-bit version openSUSE 11.1 with KDE 4.1 running on my laptop. An adventure with a far more happier end than the previous one, when I tried 11.0 with Gnome from a live cd. The wireless worked out-of-the-box this time, the gpu was (seeming to be) recognised and I was amazed by the customisabillity of the desktop environment. Allright, the learning curve is a bit longer than the one of Ubuntu but that is something I could have been expecting, because Ubuntu is severely aimed at usabillity and openSUSE is aimed at mainly customisabillity and "professionality".

I myself are unsure on this. It seems good but we will see. Im no beta tester so no point even looking at it properly yet.
