Hmm, does newegg even deliver in Europe? 35 euros is still too expensive for a os I only use for gaming (I have mandriva linux for the serious work releated stuff since it's safer), but this offer might be worth it.

Might as well get a new videocard too since everything in the states is currently dirt cheap due to the low dollar. 1 Euro is 1.4102 Euro atm.

this is upgrade version.. you have to have either xp or vista installed to use this product.. i know some outside the states have friends that live here and get friends to buy for them.. then send it over the pond to their buds.. maybe you can do so too.. ya maybe get ya a nice nvidia vid card.. good to go..

ya if i could afford it.. i would have got the pro version. but i think the hp should be fine.. and for 50 bucks. hell thats hard to let get away.. so i ordered 1 each for my bud and i.. well he is my bank and has the cc.. i will pay him back for mine in the next month or so.. it will not ship until the end of oct and near my bday.. so.. i think we are good to go..

i dont know 1 thing about vista/w7 so i have to learn.. but i dont think it will be to much trouble.. and i can show my bud a few things so he can use his pc too so.. ive been reading a lot already and found tons of free programs said tested and works with w7 32 and 64bit so.. all should be fine

You can order an UPGRADE for 50 bucks, so you need Vista to be able to use this (but then you pay 50 bucks for basically the same as you already had).

Additionally, I do not recommend upgrades when installing a newer version of an OS. When switching from Vista to 7 it is better to do a completely fresh install, to decrease the risk of getting issues and to guarantee an OS that is as "fresh" and "clean" as possible.

ya ive read its not best to upgrade from 1 os to another.. its best to buy full retail and fresh install on clean hdd etc.. but.

im disabled retarded and poor as dirt.. 50 bucks is hard to pass up.. and i hope for the best.. from all ive read and have friends with the w7 betas too. w7 was/ is much better than vista long ago or ever was.. vista is the last Me or 2000. most people hated it really. and ms business its self said it would not even use it [vista] or stopped using it and they are microsoft.. so.. w7 is said the new xp. and said pretty great.. so.

they [ms] let dell and such start selling xp again with new pc's and carried xp updates until i think 11-09 and is why i feel i needed to jump on this now and for 50 bucks.. xp will not be supported any more after 11-09 i think it is?? ms had stopped dell and such from offering xp on new systems.. but folks was pissed and vista was freaken junk. all kinds of problems and complaints and service calls etc.. they in need of pc's would not buy dells unless they could get them with xp.. its all fact and was all over the net.. what near 2 years ago

in fact most vista problems ive ever read about was upgrade versions from xp to vista. the full retail versions had less problems.. but its said ms has/will do better with w7 upgrades.. i sure hope so.. or ive lost 50 bucks for the most part and my bud will not be happy either.. but its not a lot i can do.. im retarded and poor and my state takes over half of my ssdi check each month.. i live on and pay rent on just in my hands $394 bucks a month.. my rent is $325 you do the math on whats left for food etc..

my xp pro sp2 is full retail disc.. i cant afford full retail w7. what? $300 bucks or so?? i have a oem xp pro sp3 disc my bud sent to me.. i might put it on my abit kn8 and dual boot w7 rc or beta what ever it is and try and learn a lil something something..

i dont know if they ship there.. ive never had to buy from new egg from anyplace but here in my city..

but if you dont need it dont sweat it.. as said xp will not be supported any more very soon.. so i have to step up.. 50 bucks is good for me.. i hope it works well is all i can ask.. and all i do is game and make videos and screens and post on forums like this 1.. so it has to be a windows os to play my games..

if not for games. i dont need a computer at all.. id just watch fox cable news or the history channel 24/7. or be in the streets in trouble and whore hopping.. so its w7 hp for 50 bucks for me..

Xp losing support is also the reason for me to upgrade soon. I don't demand much of it though, since I have Mandriva for video, textwork, browsing, mail, music and all things you do with any os. I just use windows as a console to play games, it gives me a fast and clean os which isn't glogged up like I used to have when I only used 1 os to game and do everything with.

It might also be noted that I have a english version of xp I once paid 12 dollars for on ebay, so I will most likely have to upgrade with an us copy too. I just hope my english is good enough to understand win 7 though, i already get confused by what they mean with that start button in xp
