Far cry

You can't compare the graphics on the x-box to the pc version. The differences are way too big. The minimum demands for the pc far exceed the processing power of the x-box. Furthermore only the title and location are the same, the game was made by a completely different team than the makers of the pc farcry (crytek or something like that) The x-box version looks great based on the specs it has to work with.

As far as the gameplay goes, the pc version wins because aiming with the mouse simply owns all. That doesn't mean that the x-box version doesn't have it share of cool things. I really like the boobytraps and the coolest thing is lying underneath a cabin and shooting trough the floor.

Multiplayer rules however. Although i just played a few short rounds it played fluidly. Lag just doesn't seem too exist in this version and there whas so much of that in the pc version.

The pc version is the winner here but that doesn't mean the x-box version is crap. If there is one thing i've learned from roaming these forums, it's to never trust the judgment of people with 1500 euro pc's. they are ussualy people with an overpriced "gamers"pc sold in their local store and don't know anything about what their hardware does. As soon as they see something with less power that is way much cheaper they automaticly start to insult the console or game.

i have the new far cry for the xbox and i must say that its pretty lame..
the thoughts of this game where pretty high both graphics and gameplay,
but i must say that it both really sucks i have the far cry for the pc and it looks so much better plays better and just is better..

the only thing that i like about instincts is the water.. though is a dead body falls into the water theres no blood or whatsoever yeah the water looks moved or something
and cool about instincts is the map editor ive made a few maps now and its fun to do..
well i can go on for ever about how bad this game is but i want to know how you think about it??

My PC was only 1200 and it plays FarCry great (high) maybe your friend forgot to buy himself a decent graphic card?

He's talking about the XBOX version of Far Cry called Far Cry Instincts.

WTH are you going on about?

Far Cry instincts is rubbish because consoles cannot reproduce the feel of a good PC FPS... The Xbox doesnt have the memory resources required and the PS2 shouldnt even bother trying to do it... Compared to what Far Cry looks like on my PC, the console versions are almost embarrasing in comparison. and just think Crytek could have been spending all this time sorting out MODs and updates for the PC version instead of developing this budget version for the masses.

Hey people, GM is back. Thought you were all about deadly designs these days......

GM, did you even play this game. If you did you would have probably noticed on the cover that the game was not made by crytek. They were sold to EA (yes, that sucks).

Ubisoft just finished a basic source code of this game and based on the specs of the x-box, they did a really nice job. Sure it in no way looks or feels like the original, but as you may have read the gameplay of this game has also dramaticly changed.

Get of your high horse GM, just because you don't like consoles it doesn't mean this game is bad. It is a solid game with multiplayermodes that exceed the pc version. The singleplayer element may not be that good but that is mostly based on the abscence of the mouse on the X-box, not on the game itself.

But hey, the pc version rules.
