(JC's) DDR:MarioMix review

I bought Mario DDR for a reason to play a DDR game featuring Mario that was fun and had some good music. But I was dissapointed, when I looked on the back it says in-order to unlock stuff you have to play story mode. So I start playing story mode thinking it'll be like SSBM dance-off style.

But to my surprise it starts off with Wluigi stealing some Music orbs supposed to have mistical powers. we stry to chase ihim and run into a river. And this is where it all goes downhill, Toad says I know you can youse the magic of dancing to cross the river, Then use the magic of dancing to take down two gaurds, then Dance off against Waqluigi finally something not stupid but then back to dance out of Hurricane dancing an Ice Ball intill it melts. And finally dancing against Bowser.

The Story could have been written by my freinds 7 year old sister it was that bad. But I know we dont care about story mode how was the dancing!

Well first off Music , their is practically no liscensed music at all. The only good toons are you got it, remixes of old classic Mario songs. The remixes of the mario classics just doesnt feel right it's just not that great.I wish they had thrown in some regular music to compete.

Now the promised Mini-games, well this will peive you off. when playing the game I was thinking hey these look familiar, and guess what they are. The charecture modles are practically clones of past MarioParty games they basically copy pasted them all into DDR. The Mini-games are nothing special just another Dance related bash the Goomba's or climb a flag pole. So what do I think about DDR:MM, I think Konami realized Namco was making a boat load off of DonkeyKonga and descided to bring us DDR but rather than spend the time doing it right like Namco did, they bought a liscense and ported the charecture models from MarioParty added a very poorly written story.

But I think their is still people who will like this game, All DDR fans, some DieHard MarioFans and anyone under the age of 7.
