Review made me laugh...and just thinking about Nxs when he was in school...in english class


Pretty funny, hopefully i'll have a dead rising review up next week.

I didnt get SR because I heard the mp lags a ton so I reinstalled San Andreas to play sa-mp. It is tons of fun, if they fix SR online I might get it eventually.

The 360 has not been filled with great games since its release! Crap that was on the original Xbox ported over to the 360 on its release to make it seem like a good idea. However, now that we are closer to the holiday season, we are starting to see better games that take advantage of the 360! Saints Row is all kindsa up there!

This is the sort of game that should have came with the 360 in the first place! For anyone that has played the GTA series, this game should be very familliar to you. This is not a bad thing. The graphics are just great as you would expect them to be. Explosions really seem to be damn near real. Then you have the make your own character. Which is really in depth. Fat, skinny, black, white, yellow, mohawk, or shaved! It is very in depth! And since the guy you are playing does not say two words the entire game, all is good! Sorry ladies, you cannot be a gangsta!

Water, chatacters, and the surrounding city is all kindsa pretty! Graphics are just what you would expect from a 360 title. You would be hard pressed to find a title that can out do Saints Row. Explosions are just lovely and the cast is even better. The sheer amount of thought they put into this game is amazing! From Mila Kunis to Michael Rappaport. Top notch all around. Not that Rappaport should be a surprise as he is in GTA games as well. This should say something!

Sound is second to none! Well, aside from GTA. They don't quite have as many songs as GTA but, still, very diversified. Not to mention, you can have a playlist that you can play whilst you are not in a car. Call it an SRpod

This is one of the games everyone bought the 360 for! Character creation is second to none. (if you are a man that is)

For the ones that played the demo, you have some idea of how the game works. However, there is so much more to the game.

The story mode(SP) has so much to offer! You can do anything you want! I really do not want to compare it to GTA but, come on! From the get go, you can do anything you want. None of the map is off limits. You can go anywhere at any time. Not only that, when you go anywhere you want and do the activities that are really not supposed be done, it builds up your respect meter. This is what lets you do missions that relate to the game.

This is a great thing about the game. You can go off shooting rival gang members or cops and fill up your respect meter without ever having to do an activity! However, there are a buttload of activites to keep you busy. From racing to insurance fraud. It really does make the game fun and allow you to keep coming back for more.

If you do decide to follow the story line, you have three choices after your beatdown into the Saints. Rollerz, Vice Kings, or the other one!(cant member off hand, which is sad!) With each mission you will need to have enough respect to do the missions. Which is where the activities come in. I really gotta say, fun! There is a hit list. You cant just kill the person at random though. It will tell you what you have to kill them with. Trust me, this is not an easy feat! Insurance fraud, you throw yourself infront of speeding cars to collect money. Escort service is sweet as well. Your job is to taxi around a whore that is pleasing a client without being filmed. This is good stuff!

Even when you do follow the story, it is a very hard thing to skip the cut scenes. You have gotta at least see them once! The story is very very good. Nevermind the fact that you can do what you want,or that the AI is just awesome. It takes a GTA type game to the next level. This is what we should expect from a next gen console.

Now that being said, I do have some problems. On occasion, there is some glitches on the highway. For example, cars will just disappear for no damn reason. Or after a cut scene, you will end up in the air, pretending to drive a car. This is not a good thing! Tis crap like this that should be elimanated before the game comes out!

I have not played the mp part of this so I am not sure how that works. I do hear it is all kindsa good though.

There is something else that kinda gets on my nerves. No boats or aircraft! What the hell is the deal with that? The city has a buttload of water and an airport! You would thing you could get in one of the damn things.

So, in summary:

On the plus
Map comparable to Vice City
All of the map is open as soon as you start
Massive ammount of activities. And I do mean massive
Character creation is second to none
Story line is almost a movie
AI takes you places ai has never done before
The sheer amount to do in the game is unbelievable!

On the negative:
Kinda pissed there is no water or air vehiechles you can drive(or pilot)

The minor bugs in the game really piss ya off! Especially when you are in a mission.

Saints Row is really the first 360 game that does what the hardware should have done in the first place! I really think it should have killed GTA but, it does not! You are never going to beat GTA SA! I must say though, Saints Row holds its own! This is a must have for every 360 owner. All kindsa pretty

They are due to release a patch for it directly

THE ENDING SUCKS
and failing an activity, finding you have to drive all the way back to the starting point! =/

but ive had more fun with this game then ive had the last 2 GTA's and hopefully the MP lag will be fixed asap

Played this at the shops, one hell of a game, especially the draw distance is superb!

Just bought x360 yestuday. Thinking of buying SR since I like GTA series....

I bought this game because a friend recommended it. I've only played it a few times :P

No more fun on MP with it, no more players, or it just takes 20 minutes to get atleast one :/
