A game that most won't know about as it is a simulation baseball game and well usually these days if a game doesn't have some sort of violence or action in it well people don't want to play. However baseball sims have been around for a long time with companies such as APBA and Strat-O-Matic making games each year with some updates often just being the season disk packaged with the game for those who haven't purchased it before. The thing is that with these games they charge alot of money for season disks and all-star disks and so on and so by the time you have gotten a great collection you are thousands of dollars in the hole. Yes the quality of the product is really good but with other options such as Baseball Mogul 2007 well you have to consider the alternative.

Positives about Mogul -

all the seasons for free going back to the beginning of AL and NL baseball

some graphical presentation when you play the game pitch by pitch (new feature)

beautiful but simple interface

lots of stats

money ball .... you figure out what to charge for tickets and vending items plus if you make enough money over a season or 10 or whatever you can build your own ballpark

patches are released as much as can be done in order to fix the simple things

Negatives about Mogul -

the minuses are that it isn't like the other games I mentioned where you don't worry about inaccurate stats and the game freezing up becuz of a weird bug like when runner indifference comes up for some reason and on the next play you are no longer able to play

like any of the games out there I feel they still don't put out complete rosters as they should list each and every player that was on the team that year and list the stats with that team

no announcing like ABPA's Baseball for Windows with Broadcast Blast which has Ernie Harwell as the announcer

With all that said it is worth it considering the prices I have seen out there including a low of $9.97 US I saw the other day.
