Default Counter Strike : Source

Counter Strike : Source - The next adaption for one of the best FPS ever seen.

This is my first post, also is my first review, but i'll try to make something interesting ;)
CS did history due to the simple graphics and amazing gameplay , and a more-than-wonderful teamwork . running on the HL engine , CS can make every hardcore gamer spend hours playing this game online , since it offers a great multiplayer experience , but we're expecting changes on the new version , Counter Strike Source .

CS:S runs on the new HL2 engine, the graphics is awesome, but unfortunately we cannot say the same for the gameplay, different from 1.6 , on CS:S the player will not need tons of skills for scoring some headshots, the gameplay is a little ''unrealistic'' , specially the AWP sniper,it's almost impossible to miss a shot whit this babie, which makes the game a little boring, because on these days all the CS:S players picks up an AWP and sits in a very tight camping spot, and whit a few clicks , this can totally retire the emotion of the rush, let's take an example the map Dust2 , the CT can easily stay behind one of the boxes, and just aim. It will be almost impossible for players to make a sucessfull rush,if the bombsite is full of unskilled AWP's , but the easy gameplay make those unskilled boys turn into pro players. But you can easily change this by playing on Non-Awp servers, the rushes will be way more exciting, and it will be way funner to play.
Another thing is the flashbanging through the walls, players can throw a flashbang over an wall and blind everyone behind this wall, and since the flashbang grenade is small,it easily blends whit the map sometimes, and you cannot see it sometimes...
Anyway,if you are looking for a game whit graphics and tons of players online,CS:S is the game for you.

My note for CS:S is a 7

Welcome to GH.

CS-Source is now ancient and the community is nowhere near as good as it once was... considering the GH}{-CSS Elite clan stopped playing a few years back!

However a 7 is a bit low. At the time of release the gfx were pretty damn nice and it ran flawlessly in a wide range of hardware configs. Sure the gameplay mechanics were nearly the same as 1.6, but it has it own quirks and I think it made the game more difficult, but that little bit more rewarding.

For me it was all about the gfx and atmosphere and fine tuning my trusty steyr-aug skills, but I am sure many people here @ GH liked for other reasons.

Anyhow, thanks for the review and contributing to the forum!

I don't really like this review as much, because you really sound like a frustrated guy about the awps. It is bullshit that the awp is the easiest weapon and turns a noob into a pro. Just like 99% of the germans playing css thinking you're more of a pro when you can headshot with a scout than with a awp, scout is alot easier due to its perfect hit. I can tell you this, the AWP is the hardest gun to really master, and takes the most practice. Also rushing is alot more exciting when you do have an AWPer shooting at you. But since these are opinions and not legit reviews I can't really care next to making my point

CS:S is frustrating at first but once you get good at it, it plays much better. You can complain about little things and that doesn't matter. CS:S is only $20 and a wide community strives the game. Many servers are up to fit your needs so stick around and find your favorite.
